Sharpe TV Series

Just finished working my way through all the DVDs of the series and I
noticed that one episode, Sharpes Justice, isnt based on the books at all
and has a number of inconsistencies, such as Sharpe having a brother, his
mother not dying when he was a baby etc. I was just wondering if anyone
knoew what the authors view on this episode was, if he was happy about it
being written this way?

It's something about a contract for insurance for reshooting an episode. I
don't remember exactly. I have both the complete book and dvd sets and have
done each 3 times now and I still get mixed up sometimes on the differences
between the two.
